How Major Cities Will Be Submerged Within Our Lifetime If Nothing Is Done With Global Warming

So, basically everyone knows about global warming but nobody seems to take that problem seriously. It is expected that in the nearest century the global climate will get much warmer.
The global temperature will rise by 2 degrees Celsius or 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit in the nearest 50 years and by 4 degrees Celsius or 7.2 degrees Fahrenheit by the end of the XXI century. Sounds not that impressive, judging by the usual human standards.
When you go to the beach a few extra degrees does not matter that much. But when the temperature increases globally, the ice caps melt with increasing speed and that means that within our lifetime many major cities around the world are going to become submerged.
A 4°C increase in warming from carbon emissions could submerge land that is currently home to up to 760 million people.
