Super Eagles camp thrown into mourning
Mbabane - The camp of Nigeria's Super Eagles have been thrown into mourning following the news of the death of midfielder Shehu Abdullahi's father, Dinawa Abdullahi.Players, coaches, and backroom staff of the team have already sent a message of support and condolences to the midfielder, over his father's death. Dinawa Abdullahi is said to have passed on on Wednesday after battling an undisclosed ailment, and has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh says the team will also honour the memory of Shehu Abdullahi's father with victory over Swaziland today in Lobamba.
Oliseh said: "We, as a team, feel Shehu's pain. We pray God rests Shehu's father soul and comforts Shehu and others he left behind.
"The team now has extra motivation to win this evening, here in Swaziland as a mark of honour for Abdullahi Dinawa," Oliseh added.
The game kicks off at 7pm local time in Lobamba, which is 6pm Nigerian time.
