Genevieve Nnaji Puts Record Straight On Domestic Violence

In a recent chat with Vanguard, Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji has debunked the rumors which says that she supports domestic violence through her movies.
According to the actress, she has never given the notion a thought as she only interprets her roles in a movie as an actress. She added that she does not support domestic violence.

In her words: “I haven’t even given that a thought because I thought I am interpreting my role as an actress.

“I believe in equal rights of all citizens. I am a strong advocate of equal rights and social justice for all humans. I frown at domestic violence and as a full-baked African woman, I know that who we are and what we believe is a reflection of what we do,” she added.

On how movie roles come her way, the 36years old actress disclosed that she does not rush for movie roles rather, producers seek her out because she is a good role interpreter.

“I don’t actually choose the roles. Producers usually look out for actors they believe that can interprete certain roles. They usually choose me because they think and believe that I am a good role interpreter.” She said.

The actress has been working on her first self-produced movie ‘Road To Yesterday’ which is billed to premiere on Wednesday, November 18 in Lagos.
